Section 20 is called into Bangkok, Thailand to rescue Chloe Foster, the daughter of British ambassador Robin Foster (Tim McInnerny) and longtime friend of Phillip Locke (Charles Dance). The team locates the compound where she is being held, but during the raid, the kidnappers escape with Chloe. The team identifies the lead kidnapper as Ray McQueen (Max Beesley). Michael Stonebridge (Philip Winchester), Damien Scott (Sullivan Stapleton), and Julia Richmond (Michelle Lukes) track McQueen to a nightclub and plant a tracker on him. However, McQueen soon realizes he is being followed and attempts to escape with Chloe again. Meanwhile, he contacts Robin Foster, forcing him to deliver an armed bomb to the British Embassy, where he is negotiating with North Korean officials. With less than fifteen minutes before detonation, Scott and Stonebridge must locate McQueen while also confronting a local gang. They successfully rescue Chloe and capture McQueen, but Locke fails to stop Foster in time. The bomb explodes, killing Robin Foster and a North Korean general, escalating tensions further.
