This film takes place in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Matic lives in a large neighbourhood of concrete blocks of flats with his mother. As his father is temporarily working in Libya, they live alone. Matic's otherwise monotonous life changes dramatically when he is chosen to feature in a film. At the shooting he meets Milena, a girl his own age whom he begins to like. When the shooting is over, the film company gives him a present, a huge black Newfoundlander named Medo. Although his mother is not really pleased about it, Matic brings the dog home. The arrival of Medo brings unexpected chaos and joy into their lives. The massive dog quickly becomes Matic's loyal companion, accompanying him on various misadventures around the city. As Matic navigates his growing feelings for Milena, Medo becomes an unexpected bridge between them. The trio forms a special bond, exploring the streets of Ljubljana together. However, their carefree days take a turn when Medo gets into serious trouble, putting Matic in a difficult position. Faced with challenges and responsibilities beyond his years, Matic must find courage and maturity to protect his beloved dog.
