Joe Bell is a penny-pinching hermit, endlessly saving for the day when his real life will begin. One day, he's offered a mysterious chest filled with treasure by a cryptic old man known as "The Clockmaker." After handing over the chest, the Clockmaker "accidentally" locks it, leaving Joe with no way to open it. Joe is instantly smitten, but his desires clash—he must choose between claiming the treasure or pursuing a future with her. The conflict deepens when Abbey's life is threatened, forcing Joe into another series of dangerous escapades to save her and recover the key. In the end, he faces an impossible decision: the riches he once obsessed over or the love and adventure he never knew he needed. The journey transforms him, proving that the greatest treasure isn’t inside the chest—it’s the life he’s finally begun to live.
