Lauren Pierce has just become the high-school Tri-State Archery Champion. After the competition, Lauren and her teammate Emily return to their hotel room for a night of irresponsible celebratory drinking that grows into more. When interrupted by Emily's abusive boyfriend Daniel, Lauren snaps and brutally beats him in a moment of rage. Lauren is then sentenced to a girls' reform camp called Paradise Ridge, nestled in the mountains of California. But this "reform camp" turns out to be a corrupt and twisted prison where the staff psychologically and physically abuse the girls, breaking their spirits while keeping their parents unaware of the horrors inside. Lauren struggles to survive the harsh environment, where defiance is met with cruel punishment. With the help of Rebecca, a strong and rebellious young woman whom Lauren befriends, the two devise a daring plan to escape the unsafe facility. Their fight for survival takes them deep into the unforgiving Utah wilderness, where they must rely on each other to evade capture and endure the brutal elements. Through their harrowing journey, Lauren and Rebecca confront their past traumas, forge an unbreakable bond, and discover their own resilience.
