A novelist and a young horror fan attempt to save a small New England town which has been invaded by vampires. The novelist, Ben Mears, returns to his childhood hometown to write a book about its dark history, only to discover that the town is being taken over by a mysterious stranger and his undead followers. As residents begin to disappear or transform into vampires, Ben teams up with the young horror enthusiast, Mark Petrie, and a small group of survivors to fight the growing evil. They must uncover the vampires' weaknesses and stop the master vampire before the entire town falls to the nightmarish curse. The story blends suspense, horror, and a battle for survival against an ancient supernatural threat.
