Catherine Bomarzini (Sherilyn Fenn) travels back to her family castle in Italy after her father's sudden death. Overwhelmed with nostalgia and excitement, Catherine invites her best friend Gina (Charlie Spradling) to spend the weekend exploring the ancestral home. As they settle in, Gina and Catherine discover a mysterious local carnival set up just outside the castle gates. Drawn by curiosity, they venture to the carnival and become enthralled by the mesmerizing performances, particularly those of the charismatic head magician Lawrence (Malcolm Jamieson). Impressed by the show, Gina impulsively invites Lawrence and his enigmatic troupe to the castle for dinner. That evening, under the influence of drugged wine, Catherine finds herself caught in a surreal and seductive trance. She becomes entangled in a mysterious love triangle between the alluring magician and a hauntingly beautiful creature of the night, whose tender gaze and touch seem to hold centuries of longing and devotion. As visions blur with reality, Catherine questions whether this nocturnal being is a figment of her imagination or a supernatural presence tied to her family's past. Guided by cryptic messages from the ghost of a slain ancestor and the wise counsel of the castle's elderly caretaker Martha (Hilary Mason), Catherine begins to unravel the dark secrets buried within the Bomarzini Castle. She learns of an ancient curse that has plagued her family for generations—a curse that binds the living and the dead in an eternal struggle. As the carnival's sinister magic tightens its grip, Catherine realizes that she alone holds the key to breaking the curse. Torn between desire and duty, she must confront the shadows of her lineage before the castle's dark legacy consumes her soul forever.
