The story revolves around renowned orchestra conductor Thibaut. When he’s diagnosed with Leukaemia, he sets out in search of a compatible donor for a bone marrow transplant. He subsequently discovers that he’s adopted and that he has an older brother in the North. The latter is an office worker, but he also plays trombone in a local brass band which is soon to be dismantled. Against all odds, the two brothers form an unexpected bond as Thibaut immerses himself in the world of amateur musicians, discovering the raw passion and community spirit that contrasts sharply with his polished professional life. As the brass band fights to survive, Thibaut finds himself torn between his high-profile career and the newfound connection to his roots, leading to a heartwarming journey of self-discovery, family, and the unifying power of music.
